Are you looking to progress to Higher Education in Art and Design?
This Level 3 Access to HE Diploma is designed to prepare students without traditional qualifications for entry into Higher Education. The Diploma provides an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed for higher education study. It also supports the development of important social and emotional skills, such as communication and confidence.
What could this course lead to?
Upon successful completion, students could progress to Higher Education courses such as bachelor's degrees and higher degree apprenticeships. The Diploma may also support entry into employment areas where evidence of study and achievement at Level 3 is required.
This qualification aims to prepare students for progression into a variety of higher education subjects, including:

Qualification Structure:
To achieve the Access to HE Diploma, students must achieve 60 credits. This must include:
45 credits from the Art and Design or Related Studies subject groups at Level 3.
15 credits from any combination of the Study Skills or Introductory Academic subject groups. Academic Study Techniques is mandatory within the Study Skills group.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this Diploma. However, we are required to ensure that learners possess the necessary skills and personal qualities to manage the demands of the course. We will also ensure that candidates normally operate to at least Level 2 in English and Mathematics, or are working towards this level.
