Course Summary:
This interactive workshop is inspired by Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and combines
shared reading with creative art and drama activities. Children will explore the story through making,
movement, and imaginative play, encouraging self-expression, creativity, and engagement with
storytelling in a fun and supportive environment.
Course Description:
Join us for a fun and imaginative half-term workshop inspired by Where the Wild Things Are by
Maurice Sendak. Together we will read the story and step into Max’s world through creative art and
drama activities. Children will explore the themes of imagination, emotions, and adventure as they
create artwork, move, play, and act out parts of the story. This friendly, engaging session encourages
creativity, confidence, and self-expression, offering children the chance to bring the Wild Things to life
in their own unique way.
