Technical information about this website’s accessibility

CogniSoft Limited is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The following accessibility issues are present on the website:

  • WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast minimum): Some text and background colour combinations do not meet the required minimum contrast ratios. This may make content difficult to read for users with visual impairments.
  • WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.5 (Images of text): Some images contain text that is not available in an accessible format, which may limit users’ ability to customise text presentation.

These issues arise because the platform allows client organisations to define their own colour schemes and upload imagery. As a result, full compliance in these areas is dependent on how individual client instances are configured and managed.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are always working to ensure the accessibility of the On Course Portal website. We will continue to provide guidance and support to client organisations to help them configure their services in an accessible way, including advice on:

  • selecting accessible colour combinations
  • avoiding the use of images of text where possible
