Embark on an adventure with your child, solving puzzles and learning new skills in our exciting Treasure Hunt!
Course Description:
Calling all explorers! Join us for a Family Treasure Hunt, an interactive course designed for parents and children to learn and bond together. Through a series of creative challenges and puzzles, you and your child will develop Maths problem-solving skills, communication, and teamwork in a fun and summery environment.
Who is this course for?
Parents/carers can bring up to two children per adult, and children must be a minimum of 6 years old and a maximum of 18 years old. An additional form will be sent to you upon course confirmation to confirm these details.
Course Aim
Test your navigation and maths skills. Search for the clues, solve maths challenges and complete the trail.
Course length
A one off, 2 hour workshop.

Following clues using basic maths skills to solve problems.
What you will need to bring
Just yourselves and your ‘Maths Brain!’ and a sense of adventure! Wet weather clothing if it’s raining. Please bring a notepad, and pen to each session. You may wish to bring a file for any handouts. A laptop with internet access is required for completion of coursework and home learning outside of the classroom (where applicable).
Where next (Progression Pathways)
After completing the Treasure Hunt, families can explore more problem-solving activities and code-breaking challenges online. Additionally, many libraries and community centres host coding clubs and workshops that children can participate in to delve deeper into this field.

How you will be assessed
Formative: Participation in challenges, teamwork, and creative problem-solving The tutor can check / mark your treasure hunt upon completion.
Summative: Completing the final treasure hunt challenge will demonstrate acquired skills.
