Summary This interactive workshop explores the story of when Duck finds an egg of his own to look after through shared reading, discussion, and creative art activities. Children will engage with the story in a playful way, exploring different viewpoints and responding creatively through hands-on making. The session is designed to encourage imagination, storytelling, and creative expression in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Who is this course for? Parents/carers can bring up to two children per adult, and children must be a minimum of 6 years old and a maximum of 18 years old. An additional form will be sent to you upon course confirmation to confirm these details. Course Aim This two-hour half-term workshop is inspired by the book The Odd Egg by Emily Gravett and offers children a fun, creative exploration of storytelling from a new perspective. Participants will enjoy a shared reading of the story, followed by discussion about viewpoint, character, and how stories can change depending on who is telling them. The session will include hands-on art activities inspired by the book, encouraging children to respond creatively. The workshop is designed to be playful, engaging, and accessible, fostering a love of stories while building confidence in creative expression. Course length A one off, 2 hour workshop. What you will need to bring Please bring a notepad, and pen to each session. You may wish to bring a file for any handouts. A laptop with internet access is required for completion of coursework and home learning outside of the classroom (where applicable).
