Detailed Summary

Who is this course for?

"Are you a hobbyist, an aspiring entrepreneur, or someone who is just curious in how to use a 3D printer? This course is designed for absolute beginners. Whether you want to prototype a product, create custom home decor, or explore a new creative medium, this is your starting line. The Curious: Anyone eager to understand how 3D printing and digital fabrication work. Aspiring Creators: Individuals who want to start creating their own custom products. Open-Source Enthusiasts: Those interested in using accessible, free-to-use software to fuel their creativity."

Entry Requirements

Basic Computer Literacy: You should be comfortable using a mouse and keyboard and navigating file folders. No prior technical or design background is required; we start from the very foundations.

What You Will Learn

Design Thinking Methodologies: Learn how to approach problems like a designer—from ideation and sketching to prototyping and refinement. FabLab Technologies: Gain hands-on experience with core hardware, including 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, and Vinyl Cutting. Design Workflows: Understand and embody the end-to-end workflow: moving from a digital file to a physical machine and, finally, a finished product. Open-Source Software: Master a suite of free, powerful design tools that you can take home and use on your own computer without expensive subscriptions.

Course Aim

The goal of this course is to build your creative confidence. Rather than just teaching you which buttons to press, this course aims to empower you with the skills to turn a conceptual thought into a tangible object or product.
